The inclement weather did not dampen the fervent excitement as the
students assembled for the 74th Republic Day celebration. A warm and
traditional welcome was accorded to the Chief Guest, Mrs. Snehlata Shrivastava,
IAS (Retired). The national flag was unfurled by the chief guest followed by
the National Anthem. Synchronized foot work, resplendent uniform and precision
team work were the highlight of the March Past, which included Squads of NCC,
Scout & Guide, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Topaz Houses. A patriotic song
sung by students imbued pride, love and respect for the country. A foot tapping
dance number by the KG students left everyone spellbound.
In her address to the students, the Chief Guest exhorted them to always
do good for the country and to be on the lookout for ways to work for the
motherland. In her address she also shared information about the original
manuscript of the Constitution. The Annual School magazine ‘Pauline Pulse’
showcasing the literary erudition of the students was released on the occasion.
A dance number by the junior girls with its intense energy captivated everyone
and left them mesmerized. The Ruby house was awarded the Best Squad in the
March Past. For encouraging NCC, Scout and Guide the outstanding NCC Cadets,
Scout and Guide were awarded on the occasion. The overall championship trophy
was awarded to Sapphire house and runner up championship was bagged by Emerald
house on the basis of the point obtained in the Literary and Cultural
competitions and various sports activities conducted throughout the year.
The programme culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by School
Vice-President Devanshi Harode. Sweets were distributed to mark the occasion.
