The annual function "Reminiscence: Ek Anokhi Dharohar" at St. Paul Co-Ed School, Anandnagar, Bhopal, offered a vibrant celebration of India's rich cultural and social heritage. The school courtyard, illuminated with colorful lights, set the stage for a truly memorable event. The Chief Guest, Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra, Police Commissioner of Bhopal, along with Special Guests District Education Officer Mr. Narendra Kumar Ahirwar, and respected Father Babu John (C.M.I.), were warmly welcomed. Principal Fr. Jaison, Manager Father Sebastian, and Vice Principal Father Thomas inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp, while the tiny tots presented a delightful welcome song.
The program unfolded a captivating story about the life of a grandfather and his grandson, weaving together themes of cultural heritage, respect for elders, spirituality, patriotism, and moral values. The audience was enthralled by the spectacular performances, including Garba, Sufi songs, and colorful traditional dances, particularly a vibrant performance from Bihar that received enthusiastic applause. The importance of books in the age of technology was highlighted through the segment "Books Are Telling Us Something."
A key highlight of the event was an oath to make Bhopal a cleaner city, alongside a powerful message about planting "one tree in the name of mother" to preserve the green earth. Students took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of environmental protection, while also stirring patriotic feelings with their performances.
Teachers also contributed to the program, showcasing their talents in an inspiring presentation. The program culminated in an explosive rock band performance, followed by a grand finale that energized the audience, compelling them to dance to the lively tunes presented by the alumni.
