St. Paul's Co Ed School celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a ceremonial band reception, followed by unfurling of the national flag by the Chief Guest, Dr. Srikant Singh, Professor and Head in the Electronic Media Department of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University, alongwith Rev. Fr. Sebastian, Manager, Rev. Fr. Jaison, Principal and other dignitaries. A solemn prayer set the tone for the event.
The highlight of the celebration was a trilingual speech delivered in Sanskrit, Hindi and English, showcasing the richness of India's linguistic heritage and instilling pride among students. Tanu Gurjar, class XI then captivated the audience with a heartfelt Hindi poem expressing her patriotic sentiments.
The cultural segment featured exceptional dance performances, with the Hindi medium students presenting a graceful symphony and another group beautifully symbolizing India’s diverse culture. Adding to the day’s charm, a captivating Qawwali performance evoked strong national feeling, leaving the audience enthralled.
In his message, Chief Guest Dr. S.K. Dubey urged all to reflect on the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and not to take freedom for granted, stressing the deep connection we share with our country.
Achievements of students were celebrated with different houses receiving trophies for excellence in Literary and Cultural, and Sports and Games. The overall champion ‘Sapphire House’ was honoured for their outstanding performance.
NCC cadets were recognized for their discipline and command, with awards for Best Word of Command and Best NCC Cadet. The Scout and Guide team were presented with the Excellent Scout and Guide Award.
The day witnessed the release of the School Magazine ‘Pauline Pulse’, showcasing the literary and creative talents of the students.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by School Vice President Pankaj Tiwari followed by the National Anthem. The celebration was a testament of the school’s dedication to fostering patriotism, cultural pride, and unity.
As a special tribute to the Indian soldiers, 180 students of St. Paul participated in a grand dance performance at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal. The performance, based on the theme “Beshbhakti ka Jazba,” paid homage to India’s rich cultural heritage and its brave soldiers. We were awarded with Third Prize for the performance. Ms. Sandhya Nair and Mr. Mahendra Sharma received the trophy from Chief Minister at Ravindra Bhavan.
